Smashing, bustling,1930's, French, oil on panel depicting a picnic next to a river.
In the foreground seven chums partake of a sunny picnic. The chap on the left is offering the girl in the red dress a cucumber (answers on a postcard please). Ripe peaches tumble onto the grass and a guitar is abandoned - waiting for a bit of gin gan
goolie at dusk.
On the right a fellow, his sleeves rolled up, swigs wine from a flagon.
In the middle distance a group of party goers join in a circle of dance their arms outstretched.
Over the turreted bridge a red roofed, tram trundles by.

Condition; Painting- Good. Frame- chips, bumps, knocks, scratches and scrapes commensurate with age and beautiful for it.
